Packaging is the users first interaction with the product, so it is important to get it right. Hygiene, ease of use, safety, and material that is eco friendly and environmentally acceptable are non-negotiable requirements. We thought carefully about what a good container and dispenser would provide, and one thing that struck us was how much product was wasted in conventional containers. We searched high and low until we found a new range of packaging with sustainability credentials as well as meeting our other requirements, including the need to deliver all the product to you.
We selected recyclable plastic airless dispensers for our emulsions. The containers are made of polyolefin, a plastic on the ECOCERT material list. They offer waste free dispensing of product, with no risk of contamination, therefore a very clean and safe method of using cosmetics. They are leak proof, and very easy to use, and enable us to use the minimum of preservatives to protect the freshness of our products. We are delighted to announce that the airless device we utilize has been awarded the DuPont Awards for Packaging Innovation.
Now in its 23rd year, the DuPont Awards for Packaging Innovation is the sector's longest-running, global, independently assessed celebration connected with innovation and collaboration across the value chain. "The Packaging Awards program is surely an opportunity to celebrate precisely how working together throughout the value chain brings cost-effective advancement to the industry to assist answer the fundamental challenges," explained Shanna Moore, worldwide director sustainable packaging, DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers. "The airless unit reflects a new spirit of innovation to solve complicated worldwide issues."
We selected recyclable PET jars for our thicker balm.
We do not use inserts and “cheater” packs to make the product look bigger. And our printing does not use ultraviolet technology.
